How is your chinese?

Postby Tim99 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 6:25 pm

The Hiller Aviation Museum has been contacted by the webmaster for the Chinese Hiller co. for some information and photos of Stan.
Here is their website. Don't bother clicking on the American flag, it won't change the page to English, Yet.

Nice website, guess those Chinese have time on thier hands. Pity they don't have the 'Engrish' up and running yet...might be some interesting reading there...like Chinese parts support (come on..you KNOW its comming), or just some great pics to look at and remember when our machines had components with time left on them :?

It is one thing to build Hiller parts in China and it is quite another to import them into the US and obtain FAA approval for those parts. I happen to hold an FAA Designated Airworthiness Aproval (DAR) with FAA/PMA parts import approval authority. I would dearly love to work for the China Hiller Operation providing just this service.

I own and am currently restoring a UH12-E4L and speak a little Chinese.

I will take this web site to a Chinese translator I know and have her translate for me to see if employment contact information is included.

It would seem that the site is a bunch of propaganda. I do not see anything on the site that would lend one to believe that Hiller China is anything but a bunch of hot air. I will remain a sceptic, until the people(?) or person(?) at Firebaugh, CA can prove otherwise. http://www.hillerchina.cn
