UH12 Training

Postby Viking » Sat Jul 17, 2010 12:10 pm

As an exerienced fixed wing pilot, I am now, after many years, contemlating a PPL(H). My 'love affair' with the UH12 started way back in the 70's and was the first helicoter I flew in and handled(12E). Question is:-

Where can I find a flightschool running PPL(H) tuition on the UH12. The type seems largely neglected in this area. I have absolutely no interest in R22's, or 300's.

Any feedback welcome.

Based UK, but work for prolonged periods worldwide. Location is not really an issue.

Hi,
Vanguard Helicopters flight school, train on the Enstrom, but we do also have a UH12C.
We are in the UK, at Henstridge on the Somerset/Dorset borders.
You would need to get an FAA ppl to fly the Hiller, as all European based Hillers are on the N reg. But you can do that in the UK,
and does not present a problem.
Call us at the above telephone number, or call in and see us and have a chat.
Bob.

Thanks Bob, I'll get myself to Henstridge in the not too distant and discuss with you. Can't give a timeline due to work commitments, but will let you know.
