Anyone got any sources, prices for tail rotor gearbox oil? Know of any substitutes? Maybe sweepco?

Spencer,

I bought 5 gal of MIL-L-6086, Grade M. It's like 10 or 20 wt oil. It is used in the cuffs also. Do you have a copy of Hiller Service letter 120A? It provides substitute manufacturers of approved lubricants. I bought some from MTP, Inc. 661-257-5824.

I also seen your ebay ad for flight time. Do you rent dual? I was thinking about visiting and getting a little time in someone else's ship

Fly safe,

We run Anderol 471 in our aircraft per Hiller/Soloy Maintenance manual.
We run the Anderol in both the Main Xmsn, and Speed Decreaser. The Anderol Oil is a synthetic gear oil, kind of spendy, but superior stuff.
