-7 Rotor Hub ?

Postby Drooping Turns » Fri Nov 28, 2008 2:51 am

I've been approached to purchase a -7 rotor hub in new condition for use on a 12B/C. I'm not familiar with hubs prior to the -9. Does this forum have any information to share in regards to earlier model hubs? I assume there must be a -8 as well? Any problems such as poor wear patterns, increased cracking, availability of bearings?

Any information would be appreciated.

I have never heard of a -8,but the earlier -5's had a more circular than oval lower inner which would mast bump.See AD's

P/N 51437-6 and 51437-7 were the latest correct hubs for the A,B,C helicopters when modified with the 9-12 degree head. (S.B. 51)The later -9 & -11 hubs were for the D & E but will physically fit the earlier models. I do not know of a -8 hub. You would be OK with the -7 on an A,B,C aircraft.
