UH 12C

I just purchased a 12C with very low time components. I have noticed that some 12's have tail rotor blades that are slightly canted outboard of the tail boom and have some slight tension to them that allows them to return to that position when they are static. Mine does not have that slight tension on the blade, they flap freely. When they spin down with any breeze blowing they knock against the stops. I don't see anything in the books. Is this a normal condition or is an adjustment needed? Warmstr...

It seems to be normal, mine does the same and one other hiller does it also. I needed to change my bearing and seal in one blade as it had some miner forward and aft movement that I did not like. I was told to grease it more often but when I installed the new bearing and the correct seal it is much stiffer and does not bang. The leather side of the new seal rubs against the hub, but once it gets worn it probably will be loose again.
